Conditions of Use

a) The User through its access, retrieval and/or use of the Data acknowledges the existence of one or more intellectual property rights including one or more copyrights in the content, arrangement and/or presentation of the Data and the User further acknowledges the ownership of said intellectual property rights by Jewish Records Indexing – Poland (JRI-Poland).

b) JRI-Poland hereby grants to the User, a royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license in and to the intellectual property rights solely for the non-commercial, personal genealogical use of the User.

c) The User shall not access, retrieve and/or use the Data for commercial purposes or in order to solicit monetary contributions and any unauthorized access, retrieval and/or use of the Data by the User shall result in the immediate termination of any past license in and to the intellectual property rights granted by JRI-Poland to the User.

d) In the event the User wishes to use the Data for commercial purposes, the User shall send a written request to JRI-Poland at the following email address: (ownership-use@jri-poland.org). JRI-Poland will then review the request and will respond in due course to the request. If the User uses the Data for commercial purposes without receiving the prior consent from JRI-Poland, the User will be in breach of this Agreement and may expose itself to liability for violation of the intellectual property rights of JRI-Poland in the Data, including and not limited liability under 17 U.S.C. § 501(a) of the United States Code with damages including injunctive relief as set forth at 17 U.S.C. § 502 of the United States Code, money damages under 17 U.S.C. § 504(b) of the United States Code, and a reimbursement of attorney’s fees incurred by JRI-Poland under 17 U.S.C. § 505 of the United States Code.

Surviving Records less than 100 Years Old (Births) and 80 Years Old (Marriages and Deaths)

Records available via the search above do not include birth records less than 100 years old or marriage and death records less than 80 years old. More recent surviving records are normally held in the Civil Records Offices (Urzad Stanu Cywilnego) of each town.
